Adirondack Flutes and Heartwood Recorder Ensemble - Sunday, November 18th at 4pm

Description

Join us for an afternoon of beautiful flute and recorder music including afternoon tea!

Adirondack Flutes is a “flute choir” using flutes of all sizes from the tiny piccolo to the giant contra bass. The 7 choir members come from around the region and practice monthly in South Glens Falls. The program at Hubbard Hall will have a little of everything from Bach to rag time, popular and a bit of holiday music.

The Heartsong recorder ensemble is made up of 4 local musicians who get together weekly during the winter, non-gardening, months. Their instruments represent the full consort of recorders with soprano, alto, tenor and bass. The music for the Hubbard Hal program will draw from medieval, baroque, classical and popular tunes.

An afternoon “tea” will be served by Elizabeth Ellard with cakes, tea sandwiches, scones and cookies. Come and cheer up the grey November afternoon with lovely music, great food and good company. Admission fee is $10 Adults/ $5 Students 21 and under (includes the “tea”.)
